I want to experiment with 1920x1080i modelines again, but I'm finding the 1920x1080i modeline that used to work for me under R5D1 isn't working for me under R5F27. Is there some sort of debug switch I can turn on in xorg.conf, or elsewhere, that will dump out some more verbose information so that I can figure out why my 1920x1080i modeline is being rejected? Currently the only evidence I find in /var/log/Xorg.0.log is
Code:
(WW) NVIDIA(0): No valid modes for "1920x1080"; removing.

I seem to recall seeing a debug switch somewhere, but I haven't had any luck find it after several forum searches.

Thanks!

Marc

Found it in the wiki
Code:
Problem: You are having problems setting up HDTV modeilnes in your X configuration

Diagnoses: Increase the verbosity of your X server by changing the command in /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc to be:

exec /usr/bin/X11/X -nolisten tcp -logverbose 6

Then restart the server and check the /var/log/Xorg.0.log file as described above, which should now tell you why it is rejecting modelines, what the vertical refresh for each modeline is, and all of the details of the EDID modelines that were being reported by the TV.
