Is anyone using this specific model? Is it good? Easy to setup with MythTV?

A bit impatient are we?

Here's a review of a 680+MythTV

It's not "this specific model", but one ought to be able to read the 670/680 datasheets and extrapolate a bit.

My apologies, that's not really much of a review at all...

I have a 688 and 676, both work fine and were very easy to setup for MythTV

Yeah, sorry about being impatient. See, my father sort of bought my Christmas gift already...and since by the time Christmas comes around, it will be too late to return it if it doesn't work, he let the cat out of the bag, so I could find out (and he's nagging me, three phone calls last night asking). I'd rather not open the package to test it though, as then I'll just want to keep it now!

Do I use the same ir receiver that I currently use with the A415 remote? Or do I have to get a different one?

I used the receiver from my PVR-150 for months and am currently using a serial receiver (moved all the tuner cards into the basement)

Good to know.

I was curious, since ircat only seems to see the a-415 remotes. None of the tv/stereo/dvd/etc remotes, so I wasn't sure if it would see button presses on the Harmony remote.

So I finally have the remote in hand...wow, easy to setup! I have to make some changes to get it just how I want in myth, but that shouldn't be too hard.

It's nice, I hit off, and my stereo, and projector go off...

...I just have to figure out if I can program it to work with my fireplace, and ideally projector screen, since the up button on it's remote has never worked :(

Anybody with more experience with these know if you can teach it a few buttons from another remote?

I couldn't work out how to program mine to chop the wood so I haven't even tried to get it to operate the fireplace.
