I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that when i go to the forum and click on "view posts since last visit", It always says no posts match my criteria.

I have tried it from Firefox on a linux pc and Firefox on a windows pc same result. IE seems to work okay.

Try using http://knoppmyth.net/phpBB2 instead of http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2. This was a known issue if you happened to use http://www.mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2

I had been having this problem even when clicking through from the front page. Today though I didn't have the problem, go figure.

There seems to be inconsistent behavior when one alias for the site redirects to another alias for the site. When the session cookie gets set for an alias, and you get redirected to another alias, >poof< You're disconnected from your login, and you can't see "posts since last visit" anymore.

Each of my PC's seems to have a different preference for which alias to use in order to work correctly. for instance on my home PC wants mysettopbox.tv, but my work PC wants knoppmyth.net

It might be better if each of the domains simply redirected to one site instead of giving browsers the appearance of the forum being duplicated on multiple domains.

Just something I have noticed, if you click the forum link off of http://www.knoppmyth.net/ it seems to direct you to http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/ which will have this no post issue, or it will give you a page load error. I just made a shortcut to the correct URL.

Well today it returned to me, I am using FF 2.0.0.11 on WinXP. I have a toolbar shortcut to the front page, www.knoppmyth.net, I then clicked on the forum link and logged in. It took me to the forum via http://knoppmyth.net/... and I didn't have the new topics listed, but the logged in user list said I was. I then add www to the front of the url and >poof< I am logged in properly and I can see the new posts.

Any suggestions? :?

Get rid of the shortcut and replace it with one to just knoppmyth.net.

It's a cookie issue, and the unread marks are going to be stored with the site you used to login...unfortunately, *after* you login, you get redirected to the site sans the www. prefix, meaning the cookie isn't being used any more.

Just always make sure you login without the "www." prefix.
