 What happened?
It's probably me. I *have* messed with a lot of things, mostly a new frontend and digital audio, but not the program guide as far as I know. Suddenly last night I saw the end of program guide data.
The backend log shows no errors, but successful updates. I checked the database for errors - none. Running mythfilldatabase interactively says data is already present until July 15th (as in the logs). Still, nothing in the program guide.
Ideas?
Cheers,
/Chris

Did you lose your "Input connections" (the configuration that associates listings with capture inputs) somehow? Maybe by changing the listing source or dropping and re-adding your tuners?
OBTW - How about the DB? Have you looked at the tables to see if there is anything in there?

Hm. Quite likely. I did have reception problems now that the trees that are in the way got their leaves. I chopped some branches off the birch tree in front of the house, but it didn't help (you should have seen me with a five meter long branch saw on the roof of the house, reaching with one arm as far as I could, struggling not to fall off. But maybe that belongs in the hardware section... ). There are other trees farther away that block the line of sight to the mast as well, but it's also quite far away. Changing from cascaded antenna splitters to a three-way splitter cured that. I could even unplug the antenna amplifier. That's a good tip for anyone with a weak signal. I rescanned for channels at that time and it might have been two weeks ago. It's quite likely that that's when the program guide updates stopped.
How would I check the "input connections" or the DB tables?
Cheers,
/Chris

Your friend wins! The weather was beautiful and I was properly dressed, even wearing a helmet in case I would fall on my head. At least the head would be intact when they would find my remains.
Well, I *am* using a grabber, but have probably screwed up the settings in mythtv-setup. I have now gone through the entire setup procedure again from the channel scanning and setting up the grabber, which was a step I've forgotten thanks to the fact that I've only done it once some two years ago and then mythrestore has just taken care of it for me when I've changed hardware and things. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
Cheers,
/Chris
