I have been using rrd for the past couple of releases. Love being able to check the usage/temps from the web interface. I think rrd is an awesome addition to knoppmyth. I recently upgraded my back end hardware and now the CPU Usage shown on the rrd page shows 'glitches' with invalid data as shown below

but the load info is much more accurate (still some 'glitches', but for the most part correct)

rrd_CPU.pl uses /proc/stat to gather the CPU usage data and when I compare /proc/stat to what top says, most of the time /proc/stat is wrong (assuming top and the load reported by uptime is right).

Not a big deal, but I like to make things works and this one has me stumped. Why would /proc/stat report incorrect info (or is that a bad assumption)?

Any ideas appreciated.

Dave
