I upgraded to R5A10 a few days ago, and I've been seeing a blue line 1 or 2 pixels thick, at the top and the left of all the video output. I thought it might have been something to do with the new ivtv drivers, but I just fired up a DVD, and the lines are there too. Anyone else seen this, or have any idea how to get rid of it?

I'm running a GeForce FX 5200, XP2200+, 1GB RAM, on an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe, and R5A10 is pretty much stock at this point.

create a file called colorkey with this in it.
Code:
#!/bin/sh
xvattr -a XV_COLORKEY -v 0

place it in /usr/bin and chmod 755

then edit /home/mythtv/.fluxbox/apps

and add make it look like

Code:
[startup] {colorkey}
[startup] {KnoppMyth-run}

then /etc/init.d/gdm restart

and everything should be good.

I have the same blue lines on R4V4.1.
There's no .fluxbox directory there, so I guess it wont work there, any alternatives?

TIA,
Michael

in R4 I think the file you need to edit is /home/mythtv/.fvwmrc or something like that, and the syntax will be different, but just find where it runs the Knoppmyth-run script and run the colorkey script in the same fashion.

Are these the lines you get when you have selected the bob deinterlace method?

I believe the source of the lines is anytime you use XV playback.
