Hi Khan,

Sorry you are so frustrated...I can relate. Yes, I finally got the tuner working the other night. The thing that did it for me was adding the following line to the /etc/modprobe.d/ivtv file:

Code:
options ivtv tuner=39,50 ivtv_std=1,1 tda9887=0

I got that from the wiki article, "HauppaugeOneFiftyInstallation". It also had "mixer_input=2" at the end of the line, but that wouldn't let LiveTV start at all (maybe it is PVR-150 specific.

I also had previously upgraded my ivtv version from what comes with R5A116 to a very recent development version (not sure right now).

Also, even though Live TV (and just about everything else) are now working, the tuner still shows as "Unknown" in the boot log.

Good luck. I hope this helps. The folks here have been very helpful to me.

Thanks for replying msfox99. It's interesting that even though the kernel doesn't recognize your tuner, it still works. Very weird. I actually have it working now and my "fix" was a little backwards. I downloaded and installed R5A12, upgraded IVTV to v0.3.7d and poof!, tuner is recognized and everything works. No options needed. These tuners are indeed a type 50. I'm thinking there is something screwy with the kernel in R5A16 after reading some posts on some obscure IVTV area. I was planning on testing R5A15.1 to see if the same thing happens. I'll let you know what happens. Have a good one.
