Hey everyone. I am using a VIA ME6000 board and have alsa running fine under KnoppMyth. Using Xine, I can get beautiful audio out from the SPDIF port on the board to my receiver.

However, sound doesn't seem to work in any of the emulators used with mythgame, snes9x/zsnes/fceu specifically. I can't get sound to work with any of these. Sound does work with the included Linux ("PC") games.

What's involved in the process of getting sound to work with the emulators? Are these emulators not Alsa-compatible? What else do I need to configure/install to get sound working with the emulators?

Thank you so much for any help!

Were you able to resolve this?

I am curious how this could be done.

The only emulator I use is xmame and that works fine. Perhaps running the others from an xterm to see what errors are produced will help solve the problem.

I have just tested out Mythgame for the first time yesterday. I seem to run into the same problem.

1) there's no sound over S/PDIF
2) the sound on the analog sound-out is CRAP

Has anyone found a solution to this yet?

Cheers

Stefan

PS: btw, i'm working on a Shuttle SN41G2V2, PVR-350, Logitech Wing Man RumblePad wireless

I just wanted to bump this up. I am now trying to get this to work on my setup, and can not get audio out via SPDIF for any part of MythGame. Emulators, or the included PC games, TuxRacer, and Bubble something. Anyone find a way around this?
