Probably not a fault with 26. d1 stopped working for me a couple of days ago, and I'm on A22.

I switched to oztivo's data today. I think that's better than the ninemsn one as it's a community based effort.
I could post notes on what I had to do, to switch, if that is useful.

Ok then, here's what I did...

- downloaded the tv_grab_au_tuhs.py script from the link on
http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/TVGuide/
actually
http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~willu/xmltv ... _tuhs.html

- ran it with --configure, as user mythtv, which generates
home/mythtv/.xmltv/tv_grab_au_tuhs.py
which is the config
file that you have to edit to choose the channels you
want downloaded, and to enter your login data.

Note: you need to register with the Oztivo wiki to get
your login name and password. I don't know if it is necessary, but I also set my user preferences there to XML and selected the channels I would be using.

- running the script at the command line should now generate guide xml data

-replaced /usr/bin/tv_grab_au with the downloaded oztivo script
(I renamed tv_grab_au to tv_grab_au.sav just in case I needed to go back)

- exited mythfrontend and ran mythtv-setup
- edited the channels XML-IDs to the ones in the conf file
- changed the XMLTV time offset (in the general section I think)
because this new script use UTC times. Set it for your timezone for where you live.
- exited mythtv-setup
- run mythfilldatabase

However, mythfilldatabase still didn't work because it uses a
different location for it's conf file

- replaced
/home/mythtv/.mythtv/au.xmltv with the conf file
/home/mythtv/.xmltv/tv_grab_au_tuhs.py
(kept a copy of au.xmltv just in case first)
and now it works (run mythfilldatabase again)

- restart mythfrontend, and all channel data shows up
- working !!

if your haviung issue's with guide data being out when using the tv_grab_au_tuhs script you need to change the setting in the script

force_explicit_timezone = False

to

force_explicit_timezone = True

a bit off topic? True :)

There was a logical progression from talk of A22, to A26 problems, to solving a problem that was not really a problem of either version.

If the problem is still not solved, then a new thread might be started ...
