Seems I have successfully failed at setting up my first knoppmyth box. When I have my 17" monitor connected, everything works perfectly. When I connect the S-Video to my TV, the remote doesn't work, but everything else does. The same behavior is displayed in MythTV and irw. Here's what I have if anyone has any ideas. Thanks.

GeForce 4 MX440 128MB
WinTV-PVR150 w/ silver remote (not MCE)
DCT-6200 connected via firewire

Well something is amiss. Did you move the box? If so, perhaps the connector got loose?

I too thought that was a possibility, but thats not it. I don't know why/how this is happening but the s-video is the only variable. Here's what I did:

boot w/ monitor = works
boot w/TV = fails
boot w/TV = fails
boot w/monitor = works
boot w/monitor = works
boot w/TV = fails

I did this probably ten times or more, unplugging the s-video at the TV, not the rear of the knoppmyth box, so I can't imagine that to be the problem. Thanks for the reply though.

I downloaded R5A30 and installed it, but it seems the firewire support in that version is broken. Whenever I try to watch TV the backend crashes. The log mentions something about libiec, and I see that was upgraded in R5A30. I then reinstalled R5A22 and everything works fine now, even the remote with the TV connected.
