Right now the image is on the left side of my TV and there is a 1 inch black border on the right side. I am trying to find a way to move the screen to the right.

Can this be done with nvidia-settings?

I asked it in a post earlier today about XF86Config. I was told this can't be done in XF86Config and that I should try something else, such as nvidia-settings. So as not to jump topics midpost, (I've seen people complain about this) I've posted it as a separate question because I could not find how to do it through searching the forum.

after looking back at nvidia-settings it cannot do it either. you will have to go to nvtv or xvidtune.

Actually the timings in your Modeline can affect the placement. I remember having to jack with this back near the dawn of time, but the details escape me. The first thing to do is determine what modeline is being used and see if you can't find a better one. What xvidtune does is makes this an interactive process.

Update:

The easiest way I've found to solve this problem is overscan the screen with nvidia-settings, then use the screen size and X & Y coordinates in the Myth appearance settings. If you tweak enough, you can get everything perfect.
