I was wondering, does knoppmyth come with VIA enhanced Xine Player ?

or should i install it myself?

would it give me any problems replacing the xine in the package, with the enhanced via one?

I don't think so.... But if I recall, I've already compile Xine w/ support for the Unichrome. You may simply need to give Xine the correct switches to run with... I cannot recall those would be at the moment.

madsholme,

VeXP will not work for you unless you also install the VIA binary video drivers... which will not be a trivial exercise on knoppmyth.

If you really want to use VeXP then you will need to change to a VIA supported distro (FC3/4).

I guess the question is what isn't working that makes you think of using VeXP?

i think i will jusst use the new knopmyth and use mplayer to play dvd´s at least it does support it :)

Haven't tried it on my EPIA yet (it is in the garage), but I think the Xine flags are:
