My tv is upstairs and Mythbox is downstairs and I want to use the remote control only to transcode tv shows that have captured on another machine that does not flag commercials.

Do I edit lircrc and make two buttons function as 'Z' and 'X'?
I think I have also have also seen a Map Buttons screen somewhere in Mythweb. Maybe there is some type of script or automated way to flag the commercials?
