I often use Nx for remote desktop as its performance is much higher than VNC over my wireless network (on an WinXp client).

For setting up I used the instruction found in wiki http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=NXHowTo

The only problem is that with VNC I can disconnect at any time and then continue the session at a later moment, while in Nx, that theoretically should do the same, the WinXp client can't resume the interrupted session but only allows opening a new one.

Is it just me, or this also happens to others?

Luca

Bump, same here. No luck for resume, the "resume" buttom is grey out. I have to manually kill the suspended session with
nxserver --terminate <username>
This is really pain in a**
I'm using the xp client downloaded from nomachine.com
It's strange that I never see session box in the first screen while the screen shoot show in nomachine website shows that box. Wondering if there's any "commercial" verson that's different that the free downloaded one that I have.

It's a pity also because VNC is usable on a network but definately not via ADSL with other traffic (and is also unsafe as I'm not capable to use SSH etc.) while Nx is reasonably usable also connecting from office to home mythbox.
