I got the script working somewhat. I get the Summary of the show in general, but is does not get the specific episode summary. Also, it does not get the poster for the show...

Any ideas?

Thanks, Walter

I have updated the TV batch grabber. It is now version 1.1.

Here are the new features:
-Show Specific calls. You can now specify which TV show you want to interact with by the using the -ShowName arguement.
-Specify an Image for a Show. With the -ShowName and -SpecifyImage arguements, you can choose an image on your hard drive for that show. If you don't have it already you use wget like this:
Code:
wget http://www.example.com/image.jpg -O /myth/movie_posters/example.jpg

-Local Caching. All query get cached locally on the hard drive. This speeds up the process of getting the data by quite a bit since each season is only downloaded once. There are no more long back and forths.

I fixed a few bugs too.

Enjoy!

I made another quick change to do case insensitive processing of file name.

Now at v 1.11.

I'm having an odd problem with this script. For some reason it refuses to get info for any of the first episodes of any season (Arrested Development, Lost, Veronica Mars, Battlestar...no luck with any of them). Pretty much all the other episodes went fine. I've tried using both naming structures as indicated in the original script. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

The script found Battlestar fine on my side. TV.com lists the Battlestar miniseries too so that in the code I put some logic in to skip them. I am not sure about the other ones.

I have updated the TV batch grabber to fix a parsing bug. Sometimes, it could not find the correct episode because it there was another string that matched it. I have fixed that bug and virtually all episodes should parse now. Please post here if you still get an issue.

Is this script still working for anyone? When I run it I get a stream of messages like this:

"Something is wrong with the cached file. Trying to download again.
Downloading season
Warning: startOfEpisode not foundWarning: startOfEpisodeData not foundWarning: endOfEpisode not foundCould not find -9-14 moving on..."

It used to work just fine for me, but not anymore. Possibly an html change by tv.com?
