when i try to bring up my loopback (so the front ned can talk with the backend)

wow... never, EVER, EVER, EVER sit infron of a CLI when your tired (2 days straight no sleep)

so i ifconfig lo up

and boom.
works.

so ya
if i hadent been as tired as i was i would have thought of that.
