Help!
I have no idea how to solve this.
I've tried using hwclock --hctosys; hwclock -setepoch (this command doesn't work); hwclock --date
I've used webmin and to no avail.
BIOS says it's Tuesday 29 August 206, webmin says it's 26 August 2006 as does dvbdate and everything else I can think of.
Why is the date still out?
btw: using R5D1 now

Well, I finally ran dvbdate and that was out by an hour. Must be them. Anyone else noticed this in the UK?

Well, epg still says it is January 1st. Very odd behaviour.

OK. Now I'm getting very annoyed.
After a week of the day being the 1st Jan on EPG (OTA) I am getting very frustrated.
The time is correct. I currently have the computer set to Universal Time because I want nvram-wakeup to work. It didn't previously because I was British Summer Time GMT+1. And when running the test code it would set the time to an hour behind when I wanted to wake up.
So with R5D1 I set the clock correct, left the timezone as UST. (Is this the problem????) but whatever I do the EPG displays the date as Jan 1st.
I've killed the backend, gone into mythtv-setup and checked it is supposed to be doing OTA information.
I've followed the information off the wiki (programguideisoff) but no effect.
dvbdate -s says the date is really out use the -f switch. did that nothing to resolve the problem.
I think I might need to do a fresh install. But I don't really like this as a solution: well not until scanning for channels by DVB is fixed.
Something is broken, or mis-configured but what? I've reupgraded and the only part of that that seems to relate to that was when it asked for my US location. I entered nothing, then it asked for my postcode, which I entered. It then asked me which method of getting listings - chose 7 (I think) the over the air option.
Help please.
