I tried searching for this, but I could not find anything. I do remember seeing this in the past and I think it was an easy fix.

Just to clarify, if I'm on channel 58 then I have to move to channel 59 to see what is playing on 58.

Can anybody point me to where this is or how to fix it?

This usually happens if your lineups got roached somehow, like trying to scan for channels when you're using zap2it, or if you're using a BTTV tuner card and selected the wrong type. I think there's a troubleshooting page on the wiki that addresses it. Short answer, for the corrupted lineup drop all of your video sources and recreate them and the input connections in mythtv-setup, for the bad card type find the correct one and specify it in the appropriate place for your version of KnoppMyth
