I use to write nuvexported files into CD-Rs to watch them using MPEG4 CD menu item (R4D1 + 0.20) and it works fine. I can watch regular DVDs, too.

But, if I write nuvexported or mytharchived (in the same box) files into a DVD-R, my mythbox can't mount it.

When I try to manually mount it, the result is:

Code:
# mount -t auto /dev/dvd /mnt/dvd
/dev/dvd: Input/output error
mount: block device /dev/dvd is write-protected, mounting read-only
/dev/dvd: Input/output error
mount: /dev/dvd: can't read superblock

or
Code:
# mount -t iso9660 /dev/dvd /mnt/dvd
mount: block device /dev/dvd is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/dvd,
or too many mounted file systems

In my home-office machine, running Kurumin Linux, I can mount the discs and play the files.

My drive is a Samsung Writemaster, if this make some difference. I've swapped the DVD drives in both machines and the problem persists only in mythtv machine, so I believe it's not the drive.

Is there another way to mount these DVD-Rs?

Thanks in advance.
