So I have everything working now, thanks to the fine help from the guys in this here forum.

The only problem I have now is:

Co-ax in records/plays video and sound.
FoxTel in through an RCA > Svideo cable to the PCR-350 gives me a picture but no sound.
I have the sound coming out of the the L/R RCA sockets to a 3.4mm Audio jack going into the Line-in on the PVR-350.

Do I have this set up right and if so, what in the software needs to be checked ?

Well it seems I was right. The 3.5mm jack keeps popping out just a slight bit. I was going to try and tape it in, but found it suddenly working this time, even with it slightly removed from the socket.

Glad its working in time for the SuperBowl, but its not in a very sturdy position, a bump and I am sure I am losing audio

PS Tried 2 cables (the 2x RCA > 1x 3.5mm audio)
