Hi,

Hi, trying to get my KNOPPMYTH set up. Maybe I'm being an idiot here, but I'm looking and looking, and I can't find the checkbox for quick tuning.
I THOUGHT that I read that it was in all Mythtv versions .20 and +, which would mean it's in R5F1 right?

Am I being stupid?

ALSO: I must be doing SOMETHING wrong in the posting here. An admin keeps moving this question OUT of the Knoppmyth section and up to the general Linux section. I suppose I most not have been clear in my original post -- I'm running Knoppmyth. Sorry :)

B

I kept an eye out for it when I set up my HDHR a couple days
ago (R5F1), and I never saw a "quick tune" option anywhere.

I have seen this box before, is somewhere in "myth-setup", however I am running SVN. I have a R5F1 clean box too, I'll check later today and post back.

Quick tuning must not in the fixes branch yet. I just check my SVN install and is in

mythtv-setup > Input Connections >HDHR:Data Source>Use Quick Tuning

I checked a clean R5F1 install and no setting.

Just for the record, the reason your message is moved out of the Knoppmyth section is because this is a feature of MythTv and is not added by the Knoppmyth team. Knoppmyth subjects are those which are exclusive to the Knoppmyth distro and its additions. Just be glad your question was moved and not deleted (Cecil's other choice).

Liv2Cod,

Hmm. I figured since I'm asking about whether or not something is in KNOPPMYTH, it would be more related to that than to Linux in general.

Sort of like if I asked if Honda Civics came with stick shift, it would be more relevant to the Civic section than to the "Car" section.

I suppose that's just me, though. Agree to disagree and all that.
