I seem to be having about the same issue as the poster here http://www.mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=15287

This is after a clean install of R5F1.

I can ping the world from the mythtv box, but when it comes time to retrieve listings or get anything from labs.zap2it.com nothing will work. I did not use DHCP broadcasting, instead I setup a static IP. I can ping the mythtv box from my windows machine (which is acting as the gateway, sharing my lowly dial-up connection) and I can ping the windows machine from the mythtv box. As I eluded to earlier, I can ping www.google.com and get replies.

Interestingly, I used to have no problems. I would install R5F1, enter the video sources, enter my username/password and retrieve listings like nobody's business. But now, it seems I'm blocked.

Some searching on the forum has raised the issue of TCP Windowing on Linksys hardware causing this issue, but I'm not using any routers. The windows machine is a biostar mainboard with nvidia7050 chipset which uses a Realtek ethernet adapter. The mythtv machine is an asus m2npv-vm board with nvidia 6150 chipset. Windows dials-up via a USB modem and shares the connection to all on the network (trust me, if DSL, cable, or FIOS were available, I'd be all over it, but it ain't). I have a linksys hub which connects everyone.

Granted, the datadirect service as we know it won't last too much longer, but what the heck is going on? I've done probably 5 installs in the last 5 days and suddenly now (after I had finally got all other issues straightened out) it decides to quit working.

I can login to the labs.zap2it.com website and see my listings there, edit them, update, etc. etc. etc., but can't pull them in from the mythtv machine.

Any help is immensely appreciated.

It's not just you. It's not working this weekend for some reason. This happens occasionally.

http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=15815

Hopefully it's only temporary and not an acceleration of the announced changes.

Update on the situation relating to the lack of guide data...

From http://bb.labs.zap2it.com/viewtopic.php?t=1323

Quote:
Hey. I haven't posted here in a loooooong time...

Thought I would let you guys know that there's been a database problem throughout the weekend on the database used to store user lineup information. You may have been getting this application error:

Code:
Your previously selected lineup is no longer valid and has been automatically deleted.
Please add a lineup!

...which accounts for a specific exception scenario when the application queries the user lineups table. Your lineups have not been deleted; it's just the code is interpreting the exception this way.

You also might have gotten a message telling you to add a lineup, as if you'd never had one on your account. Well, bottom line is: things will be back to normal when the database stuff is fixed, and your lineup info has not been lost.

Things will hopefully be back to normal later today as we switch to a backup and fix issues on the production server.

On an unrelated note, I've been monitoring things in the Myth and XMLTV forums (and others) and hope there's a way for you guys to work everything out with the listings data. I have confidence in you all.

Pretty soon, I won't be around even peripherally. Best of luck to everyone.. it's been good. I'm really impressed with everything the Zap2it Labs community has cooked up. I don't think we ever anticipated all of this. I miss Zap2it Labs.

Good luck. I'll see ya when I see ya.

Seems to be working for me again tonight, I've got a full 14 days of data from both my lineups...

Yes, just tried it again and now working.

The exception is that I can't add a lineup for my locals via the webiste. No biggie, I just created a new lineup for digital cable (which carries those channels). All is well.

Guess I was just "lucky" enough to be installing while all of that was going on. Thought it was a problem here.

I'm having this same issue. My Local Broadcast lineup got deleted (or appears to have been deleted) and I cannot create a new locals lineup. Hopefully they are still working on the issue and this will be resolved shortly.

I had troubles as well; in addition my mythconverg db program table had some starttime data from the year 2033! This was causing some problems for mythfilldatabase, so I deleted the program table records that were so far in the future and mythfilldb seems to work normally now.
