I used to have 2 zap2it accounts...each configured as a video source. One would fetch my HD channels and the other would fetch my SD channels. Then I would set my HD tuner cards to use the HD source, and my SD tuner card to use the SD source.
I'm not sure if that was the correct way to set it up, but it worked. I'd like to fix this before I start using Schedules Direct. My question is, with a single video source, how do I tell my HD tuners to handle the HD channels and my SD tuner to handle the SD channels?

That sounds like the right way to me.

Yeah, but if you have to pay per account starting September, then you are supposed to pay for 2 accounts?

There is no need to have separate accounts. You can have multiple lineups with one account. I know because I use exactly that technique to get the listing for several "missing" channels which aren't in the analog listings but are in the digital listings. I presume that SD will do something just as sensible.
Seriously, give the SD folks the benefit of the doubt. They're providing a public service (think of it as a co-op with a founder based board and membership dues) and show every sign of trying to do the right thing... While I can understand being grumpy about a new cost, I can't understand the paranoia about their good will or good intentions.

I have only 1 account with them that supplies my HD and SD guide data. Until I hear differently, I suspect Schedules Direct will do their best to keep in the fashion we have come to know and love, with the addition of having to pay for it.
[RANT] I really don't understand the "projection" posts - Those that are asking "how will we" or "what do we" in regards to the upcoming guide data changes - Until data comes from another source (presumably Schedules Direct) there is no reason to change anything on your existing Myth boxen. When all the players have their pieces in place we will have our options, and not before. Sit tight folks, it will all work out.[/RANT]

I have no issues with the pricing model that Schedules Direct has outline and I have no problem with paying it. I just want to learn how to proper configure my videos sources so I can do HD and SD with a single account.

Yes, I do. Can you explain how you have configured HD and SD using only one account? I cannot figure it out.

Create multiple lineups at Zap2It (or SchedulesDirect) under the same account - Look for "Add a New Lineup". Then in mythtv-setup, after you enter your login information and retrieve lineups you should see all your lineups in the "Lineups" drop-down. Select 1 for HD, the other for SD (creating 2 different Video Sources).

I have been doing the same thing as ed3120 having 2 zap2it accounts. I tried your instructions but either I've done something incorrect or they've disabled adding anything new to the (soon to be gone) zap2it system because it didn't work.
I guess all along I presumed this is how you did it if you had multiple tuners SD and HD. So, while I understand your rant, I think this is a fairly pertinent topic (at least for a couple of us)

I just logged into my Zap2It account and added another lineup. Which part doesn't seem to be working for you? Were you not able to add another lineup?

Cant you just add 2 video source accounts in mythtv-setup? I have 2 video sources pointing to the same zap account. In one of the sources I deleted the channels (channel editor) that my card could not see because the pvr-150 gets a weak signal on the lower channels (2-11). I used to have 2 lineups at zap2it but they killed one of them off last year.

I believe that's what ed3120 and entourage are trying to accomplish, yes. I used to have 2 lineups at zap2it but they killed one of them off last year. I wonder if maybe the terminology is confusing some people:
* - Zap2It account - You sign up with Zap2It Labs, creating your account (username/password)
* - Zap2It lineup - You create lineups within your Zap2It account to define your channels (up to 4 lineups within an account, IIRC) Example:
* - Video Sources - Within mythtv-setup you create your Video Source which points to A) your Zap2It account and B) one of your Zap2It lineups. Repeat this process for each of your Zap2It lineups.
The process is the same for SchedulesDirect. Hope this helps someone...
EDIT: Looks like you may have to right-click and "View Image" on my example above. /EDIT

I've set up both zap2it and Schedules Direct the same way. In both cases I have:
1. A single accont.
2. A lineup for the SD channels. In "SD" the name for this lineup is "Comcast".
3. A lineup for the HD channels. In "SD" the name for this lineup is "Comcast Digital"
The only reason you would need a second account is if SD doesn't have multiple lineup's in their system for your zipcode...

Marc I believe SD has worked around that (initially a problem with Zap2It's configuration options). Haven't tried it myself, but you have the option of entering a different zip code when adding a lineup within SD.
EDIT: On a side note, I just checked my SD Broadcast lineup, and they have added the -1, -2 to the OTA HDTV channels. /EDIT

I just checked my account again at Zap2it and the second lineup was there. Must have taken a bit to refresh because right after I followed the directions, only my original lineup was there. I even tried adding another lineup with a nearby zipcode to see if that was the issue.
Regardless, I now have 2 lineups in ONE account. Thanks for the heads-up!!
