when working off a fresh boot my remote works, but after a few hours, it dies...

my bet is there was an update in a config file that is messing up and causing this, but WHERE!?!

Number 5 in "Known Issues" says nothing about recompiling anything

Yes. It's does contain a lot of information, which means you sometimes have to do some reading to find things. I don't know of any way to provide that much data, with that much detail, maintain readability with (mostly) proper grammar and spelling, and make it substantially smaller.

I strongly recommend using your browsers page search feature, (typically bound to Ctrl-F) which can help you find things in large web pages. For example here you could have typed ctrl-f then "remote" then [next] then [next] and it would have take you right to that point. Searching for "lirc" would also have worked although you'd have to hit [next] a few more times. "Hauppauge" would take you there in one go.

Yep, that clears it up  Maybe you could share the solution so the next person that comes along would benefit from your experience?
