I know you guys hate these questions but I just want to know if there is a new alpha about to be released. I plan to upgrade to R5A12 this weekend but I could hold it if so.

Or expend 6 hours installing, fixing bugs, patching and recompiling only to find a new version with all that already fixed the next day.

Hey, did y'all know that Isaac is planning 0.18 this weekend? Hee, hee! I love this game of "when will it be done."

(Truth in rumor-mongering: It took Issac aboutt two weeks beyond his expected drop date to get 0.17 out.)

Speaking of 0.18, will this announcement of a "stable release branch" post-0.18 have any effect on what gets included in a KnoppMyth release? IOW, which branch will Cecil/Dale use?

I don't think cecil has committed on this yet, but my vote would be for the stable branch.

I guess I have not stated it often enough. KnoppMyth releases will always have a stable MythTV release.
