bigbro & Johnboy68, those are both good ideas. There are two things that can be done to address those issues:

1. Create a suggested "style guide" for how a page can be structured so that the issues you've identified are addressed.

2. As readers find articles in the wiki that don't have this type of info, it's best if they "take the bull by the horns" and edit the document so that the next person benefits.

I think this would work very well. I think "taking the bull by the horns" would solve a lot too.

Do you think adding a Topic on the Forum called something like "KnoppMyth Wiki" would be good? This way if I/we had a question about one of the how-to's it could be posted there then updated on the actual Wiki document.

Johnboy68, The idea is right, but you may find that it would be quicker and easier would be to actually just fix the wiki, that is the power of the wiki. Anybody can add and correct stuff, so in the time it would take you to make the post it would just be as easy to edit the page directly.

Sumpthin weird going on. I found version 7 of the page was clean and tried to make it the most recent version. It borked upon saving. Maybe X can lend some advice here.

I can see where johnboy is coming from. I have several times tried to add a feature or tweak a setting as documented in the wiki only to find out that the feature is already included in the current version (and in some cases that I screwed up what was probably a working feature) or that the half way through the process the config files are not where they say they are any more. To be honest I (and many of us) are not really that sharp with Linux and mostly get through due to following the hard work and documentation of others. I am not sure how to take the "bull by the horn" and update the wiki other then to say "this don't work anymore". In some cases I may turn out to be more of a bull in a china shop.

Even that is worthwhile. Adding a comment stating what version
you're running and describing what seems to be "wrong" about
the page might save somebody else from having to discover the
problem the way you did. It might also prompt somebody who
does know the correct answer to update the wiki page.
