Hi, Can anyone who has an OSX frontend running please post some details of how good the set up is and the spec of the machine you are using. Perhaps detail things such as: - how much of the frontend's functionality are you using? I guess everyone will be watching recordings but what about music, photos, burn DVD and games etc? - wireless or wired ethernet? - what remote control (or perhaps remote keyboard) are you using? - laptop or fixed machine? - SD or HD? Also, slightly off topic, but has anyone got an intel mac mini running correctly with a flashed region free (RPC1) drive? By correctly I mean does the OS and all of the iApps recognise the drive ok. I guess this would be a Pioneer K05 and not a Matsushita if so. -S |

Hi I have a 12" powerbook running panther. I have tried to run it via airport express but it has too many pauses. I only have tried LiveTV recordings and movies. Loading DVD has an odd issue where it will only play via Apple DVD software. It works. I downloaded the whole package from the sniderpad. He is a mac guru and will help you. I think his name is David. |

- Just using the TV functionality. There are better Mac apps for everything else - Usually wired, but I watched some stuff in bed last week on my laptop (802.11g is just fast enough for Australian digital SD) - No remote - Laptop, though my wife's iMac 800 has been used once or twice - SD, which in Australia is 720x576 at 50fps and digital bitrate between 1.5M and 5Mbps[/b] |
