I have a fresh install of R5C7 for which I want to grab channel icons, but every time I run the script, it tells me it is an invalid postal code. Does anyone have an inkling of what the matter may be. My pseudo-newbie skills are stretched on this one... |

The icons should have been obtained automatically for you, so that's one problem. What exactly are you running, and what is the exact output? |

I'm running: perl /usr/bin/mkiconmap.pl It runs the script, automatically saying "invalid postal code", and prompts me for my postal code. Upon entering my code, it spits out the same message, "invalid postal code". I've also tried running "tv_grab_na_icons", but with the same results. I hope this is what you were asking for! Thank you! |

There are some extra parameters you need to send it, but when I do that I'm seeing similar failures here. Maybe the web service is down. I'll look into it. |

Yeah, looks like tv_grab_na_icons is failing because of some changed behavior with zap2it's website. I'll take a look at making the necessary changes. Thanks for mentioning the problem! |

When I was looking to make the change myself, I saw that the original author of the script had already made a fix in the CVS version of the bundle that includes that script, so I told Cesman to be on the lookout for it. |

Great find, kerozen02! Followed the directions and the new-and-improvied tv_grab_na_icons worked fine. It failed the first couple of times that I ran it, though I think it was just timing-out with my slightly finicky Internet connection. Otherwise a very painless process. Scrolling slowness in the program guide is now TOTALLY GONE! I have happy frontends again! WOO HOO!!! |
