Has anyone come up with a good way to have their mythtv box both stable and in development at the same time.

My wife is going to kill me if she starts depending on this thing and then I start rebuilding it like I do all my other computers.

I assume this would be done by creating seperate partitions for each version but has anyone actually laid out a good plan for this?

Thanks for any insight,
jpummill

What I'm doing to attain a high WAF (Wife Approval Factor) is setting up my main stable box...once it's stable :) then using one of my many other PCs as a sandbox.

If you want to use the same computer and you have enough HD space, I don't see why you couldn't just dual boot on the same system. I'm sure once partitioned you could even share home and swap. I don't know how the bootloader would handle it but you could go 3rd party or customize it. At least I know you can dual boot 2 of the same Windows versions using this technique.
