Now mythweb is gone. Again. This time /var/www/mythweb is there and everything is fine. This time it seems to be the Mysql database for real.

Get this in syslog after trying to manually start mysqld with /etc/init.d/mysql restart:

Jul 17 17:45:47 mythtv kernel: agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at 0000:02:00.0 into 4x mode
Jul 17 17:48:10 mythtv mysqld_safe[5847]: started
Jul 17 17:48:10 mythtv mysqld[5850]: 060717 17:48:10 /usr/sbin/mysqld: unknown variable 'old_passwords=1'
Jul 17 17:48:10 mythtv mysqld[5850]:
Jul 17 17:48:11 mythtv mysqld_safe[5852]: ended
Jul 17 17:48:17 mythtv /etc/init.d/mysql[5894]: 0 processes alive and '/usr/bin/mysqladmin --defaults-extra-file=/etc/mysql/debian.cnf ping' resulted in
Jul 17 17:48:17 mythtv /etc/init.d/mysql[5894]: ^G/usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
Jul 17 17:48:17 mythtv /etc/init.d/mysql[5894]: error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)'
Jul 17 17:48:17 mythtv /etc/init.d/mysql[5894]: Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' exists!
Jul 17 17:48:17 mythtv /etc/init.d/mysql[5894]:

and when I'm trying to access mythweb it says this:

Database Error
Can't connect to the database server. Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) [#2002]

is there a script to rebuild everything back to order? everyting worked fine until I shutdown the machine last night (with "halt" over ssh, which I usually do). And when trying to start this morning, first it wouldn't start the X-server, which I fixed by going back to xorg.conf.20060712140838. Then I got it to boot, but when trying to start mythbacked and mythfrontend, it just quits after choosing language and database settings.

I didn't do a apt-get since 12 july, and then it was only a manual mythplugins install and a boinc_client install...
