Hi friends: Well, I want to burn a couple of shows to DVD. But they were recorded when I was having nasty program guide problems, and so they have the wrong title. Can I go into the database and change the show title somehow? If so, could somebody step me through that? I have absolute zero knowledge of SQL. Shplad |

Use the webmin interface. It will let you do form based editing of the tables. |

You should be in good shape then because this is exactly the amount of knowledge required. ![]() Under webmin go to: Servers -> mysql database server -> mythconverg -> recorded -> view data (bottom of the page) Down the left hand side of the spreadsheet shown are check boxes to select items. At the bottom of the page are 3 buttons. Select a couple rows to test by checking the checkbox, then hit "Edit selected rows". This will bring an altered page up with entry fileds where you can modify the data in the selected rows. Don't forget to hit the save button when you're done. It really couldn't be much easier. The only thing to be aware of is that webmin has a 5 minute activity time out (and filling in forms doesn't count as activity because it doesn't go back to the server) so take small bites (1 or 2 recordings) and work quickly. |
