Post subject:  mythtv-setup - error message on exit

On my newly upgrade R5C7 Knoppmyth box (upgraded from R5A16), whenever I exit from mythtv-setup, I get this error message:
"Card 0 (type ) is set to start on channel 3, which does not exist.
Do you want to fix this problem?"

followed by the buttons "Yes please" and "No, I know what I am doing".
Selecting "Yes..." doesn't do anything (AFAICT), and selecting "No..." exits the program.

I have checked my card setup, and both cards (I have a PVR-500) starts on channel E8, which is correct.
What's wrong?

Delete your cards and re-add them.

I already dit that, as part of the upgrade hints, I read the CompileIvtv page on the wiki, and did the following:
Step 8: I verified that the 'simple=1 option was not present for the options msp3400 line in /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv
Step 9: I verified that the 'ivtv' line was not present in /etc/modules
I also checked that my card (PVR-500) were detected correctly on bootup.
Step 11: I deleted and recreated the cards in mythv-setup, as instructed.

Why would I need to do this again?
