Hi *

I want to share my experience with upgrade r5c7 to r5d1.
System:
living room fe+be, epia10k, pvr250, 0.6TB LVM
sleeping/children: diskless fe, EPIA10k, minimyth0.19-3

Upgrade process:
-phase 1 install goes smooth
-phase 2 - all OK until setup goes in "applying KRP tweaks" phase. Monitor goes to stand-by and only HW reset help. Trying 2 times. Problem is fully reproducible. Fortunately after second attempt and reset myth started.

Post upgrade issues:
-asount.conf was not migrated from r5c7. Have to move manually.
-xfree booted with 720x480Noscale. In r5c7 I had 800x600 with specified GUI size in myth setup. First look after upgrade was little scary (only part of myth GUI visible on screen). Fixed by new settings in Setup/Apperance.

Problems:
-xfree continuously booting with 720x480Noscale despite in BIOS I have CRT, PAL. Entering 800x600 dosn't help. How to overcome this ?
-playing transcoded to MPEG4 shows has problems witch chrominance (color horizontal coils/grids across screen). Is this issue known and is there any solution ?

What is good (after few hours of testing)
-finally (thx fxree 4.5) I have properly displayed national characters in EPG :-))))))))))))))
-thx openchrome I can use Noscale modes. Good.
-now myth can play Internet radios out of the box. Nice.
-no boot kernel traps when my rtl1850 USB-Eth key is inserted during boot. No more modules editing. Good.

Issues needs to be addressed by developers:
-monitor switch-off during instal phase 2 (applying KRP tweaks phase)
-Xfree start with NTSC while I have PAL declared in BIOS.
-chrominance problems playing MPEG4 transcoded shows.
-asound.config preserve during upgrade.

Final toughs:
KnoppMyth gets better and better. r5d1 looks almost perfect (despite quite scary first impressions during / after upgrade)

Million thx for developers for such incredible solution !!!!!!

I had some trouble getting a pal modeline to work on my tv out. It wasnt until I added Option "TVStandard" "PAL-B" to the "Device" section in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 that it would accept a PAL modeline.
