Iv been working on this for a while now. I have scoured the forum, and wiki for help, but everthing Iv found hasent helped get audio working with my ATI TV Wonder card using btaudio.

I was ok with not being able to get that working until something I did/installed caused the system to start hanging when watching live tv (with no sound mine you) actually it seemed to hang when changing channels.

So how Im to the point of reinstalling the whole thing, and starting over luckily Iv saved notes on almost everything Iv done so I should be able to get back to where I was pretty quickly.

Now should I continue trying to get btaudio working, or should I just skip that a purchase a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150, and go from there? I would like to get it working with ATI card first, but I planned on getting a pair of Hauppauge cards anyway because from what Iv read they are 1 easier to work with, and I would like to be able to record, and watch at the same time.

Thanks.

Still beating my head on the desk with this one. I am now getting choppy audio from my analog device dsp2 that causes my video stream to stutter, and also causes btaudio buffer overrun. I set it to the digital dsp1, and I get no audio.

I am getting audio from the Line-Out port on the TV-Wonder card if that matters. Why isnt the digital dsp1 working correctly?

My /etc/mythtv/modules/bttv file:
Code:
alias char-major-81 videodev
options bttv card=63 tuner=2 automute=0

When I dmesg | grep bttv I get:
Code:
bttv: driver version 0.9.16 loaded
brrv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture
brrv: Bt8xx car dound (0).
bttv0: Bt878 (rev 2) at 0000:01:06.0, irq: 20, latency: 32, mmio:0xe5100000

bttv0: PLL can sleep, using XTAL (28636363).

My /etc/mythtv/modules/btauio file:
Code:
alias char-major-81-1 btaudio
options btaudio dsp1=1 dsp2=2 digital=1 analog=1 rate=32000
alias sound-slot-1 btaudio
alias sound-service-1-0 btaudio

Here is the results when I run dmesg | grep btaudio
Code:
btaudio: driver version 0.7 loaded [digital+analog]
btaudio: Bt878 (rev 2) at 01:06.1, irq: 20, latency: 32, mmio: 0xe5101000
