Everything else seems to get sound fine. But I don't get any sound from MythGame. What should I check? |

I can get sound from FCEU. However, I get no sound from ZSNES. I played with all the sound options and nothing worked. |

I'm in the same position as Baishen78, I can get sound out of everything except zsnes. I'm using an old sound blaster live card with plain analog out. I've googled around but haven't found a solution for it. |

Does zsnes have a forum or mailing list you can query? Have you tried running zsnes from an xterm and see what results you get? You may need to add an extra switch or two... |

No idea. I'm pretty new to most of this stuff. BTW, thanks for all the work on KM. I was able to get a my Myth box up and running pretty easily due to it.

Anyways, I found this thread on the ubuntu forums. http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=7488 I'm gonna give it a try when I get a chance. I did change my libsdl from oss to all when tryin' to get mupen64 working, so that may have fixed things. Haven't tried it, though. |

Welp, it looks like it's a permissions issue. I ran zsnes as root an' the sound worked. Anybody know what permissions I should look at changing? Or how to have zsnes start and run as root from mythgame? Crap. I apparently screwed up the permissions and now the sound doesn't work with root either. I ran chmod +s /usr/bin/zsnes as suggested on one page, and the sound stopped working. So I tried chmod 777. But that didn't work either. How can I get back to the original settings? |

I noticed another weird thing while testing. When I run as mythtv, the joysticks list as 6 axis, 12 buttons, 0 hat, 0 balls But when I run as root, I get 4 axis, 12 buttons, 1 hat, 0 balls Not sure if that matters or not. |
