Post subject:  TV Looks great! Menus look HUGE! *SOLVED*
I've been searching around, but after 2 days of this, I just about to give up. I finally got my MythTV box to display out onto the HDTV AND my TV works! But my Menu's are huge. Like.. the font is so large you can only see the top half of letters. Is there a way to force the size of these menus? :(

EDIT: After looking over the post here I edited /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 and added:

Option "UseEdidDpi" "false"

To the device section and:

DisplaySize 433 260

To the monitor section. I got the DisplaySize numbers from the following math :

Search for "DisplaySize" you should find a posting by me about how to tell the X server a little white lie. Adjust it based on your display resolution.

Thanks, I think I found the post you where talking about. Just couldn't figure out what to search for.. "HUGE ASS MENUS" didn't help much.. :P

At work now but I'll try when I get home and post my results.

I was starting to think it had to do with my TV's native rez being 1024x1080i.

And "1080i" seams to be like 1920x1080. :( 720p has been working though.
