I maybe mistaken but I don't think close caption works with the hardware MPEG cards. Please check the MythTV and or IVTV mailing list(s) to verify. |

well the new 0.10pre2 drivers are supposed to have the vbi interface for closed captioning, but I haven't tested it. |

Interestingly enough, mplayer is able to pull closed captions from my ripped dvd's. What application does myth use to show tv ? Perhaps we can use the software decoding aspect during playback (I'm not doing hw decoding as I can't deinterlace that way) to read the CC & display them. CB |

This is an ivtv driver issue. Myth uses itself to play the streams. |
