Not sure if this is related to using the pvr-350 out, but when I try to use the mythburn feature i get :

MythTV BurnDVD stopped due to error

The part that is interesting is where it says x cannot connect to the server.

Does anybody have mythburn working with R5Beta7? The only tweak I had to make was to go through the setup and tell it to use /myth/mythburn for the scripts directory.

I had the same exact error not to long ago but i was able to get past that by:

- Updating xvfb to the latest version
- Updated ProjectX to .9.0.3
- Restart the front end with "#/etc/init.d/gdm restart"

There is also another post that someone added a "headless" option to starting projectx that may help if the above does not work.

This seemed to fix my "Can't connect to X11 window server using ':33.0" but I am having another problem now with mplex.

Hope this helps.

I was getting this same error. Unfortunately, the fixes others had posted didn't work.

However, last night I resolved the issue after noticing that the /mythtv/mythburn directory had root for owner and group, which seemed odd in that nearly all of the subdirectories in /myth had mthtv for owner and group. So, I ran the following command as root to change all of the ownership and group settings for all of the /myth subdirectories....

Quote:
chown -R mythtv:mythtv /myth/

After I made this ownership change, I can now use the mythburn application within KnoppMyth.

I hope this helps others.
