While watching live TV, I get some white noise near the top of the screen. Wife will not let it in the den with this problem.

pcHDTV 3000 with R5D1 on P4 3.2 GHz. Nvidia drivers, not sure which card. 1920x1200 dell LCD.

Also, how can you tell what resolution the signal is coming in at? 1080i vs 720p vs SD?

I have heard there are different 1080i depending on the compression used, can you see that as well using the Myth interface?

Using xvmc fixed my "noise" problem and some stutter on the video. Brilliant!

Now, I want to figure out how to get details on the stream I am watching. I think there are 18 different resolutions for HDTV. I assume you canaccess that infor somewhere....
