Hi! MythGame in the KnoppMyth distro comes with the brilliant Xmame and SNES and NES emulators. How many people out there have added additional Game Emulators and which ones did you find worked? |

I only have xmame working, and that dissappeared after I installed the xm radio plugin... My wife wants a ddr clone some time. I was surprised that I had to muck around with the settings to get xmame to work. I had to make a .xmame file I believe. You would think that would be standard in knoppmyth, to have xmame ready to work once you got some roms in the rom directory. Or even ship with a rom already there (one that is free, I think there are a few). Just like I was surprised I had to muck around with the default directories in knoppmyth for pictures. I think the default in R5D1 was looking in /mnt/pictures, but there was no /mnt/pictures but there was a directory already in /myth/pictures. You would hope the default would be set up for idiots like me with a single box, not people running NFS mounted file shares... |

This is a glitch in the setup. It's supposed to be pointing to the appropriate directory under /myth for those (/myth/gallery for pictures, /myth/games for xmame, nes, snes, ...), but the settings from /usr/local/share/knoppmyth/KnoppMyth.sql seem to be getting overwritten or something. Human supposedly had a fix for this last I heard. |

Along the same lines, when should a new knoppmyth come out? I thin R5D1 was .19, but myth released .20 recently I think. Is there a dev list to lurk on? |

Anyone have the same issue with MythGame not loading in the screenshots and the game information so that you can see the name and title of the games? |

I think the .xmame file is missing in /home/myth I put one together for R5D1. |

mediathreat: I've been able to get Xe (which also is included with KnoppMyth), Stella, and Daphne to work with little or no trouble. The MythTV wiki has a ton of information available for getting various emulators to run (including the ones that I just mentioned). |
