I have issues changing channels on my Mythtv setup with home made ir blaster...

I have to got to shell and issue ivtvctl -r 980 everytime I boot up the myth box... If I don't, I get snow on the screen and no TV...

What am I doing wrong? Do I need to put this in a script somewhere or did I miss configure the front/back end setup somehow?
:)

Ok so I see others have to add a script to allow it to tune to channel 3 in some cases even though they specifed channel 3 in the setup.

i don't have that problem but you could always add that line to /etc/init.d/bootmisc.sh so it will start for you

Search for "set_ivtv_params" here in the forums. This is a script which can be found at /etc/init.d/set_ivtv_params which is used to initialize your PVR cards on bootup. This is probably the correct place to make fixes like this.
