Post subject:  TV Listings Changed by Station?

Hello,

It looks like A&E has shuffled around their program lineup. So all of my current data is off (except for the new updates). For example, Monday's listings shows "Crossing Jordan" airing at 12 and 6, when it now airs at 11 and 5. This has happened most of this week. The listings do finally show the correct information the day before, but the "Upcoming recordings" doesn't fix itself correctly. Instead of changing the time of the scheduled recording (to follow the new program time) it changes which show gets recorded. Keeping the same time, not the same program. Because of this, the last several days I have gotten the wrong show recorded because the scheduler never updates to the correct time.

So for my example, instead of changing to record "Crossing Jordan" at 11a, my "Upcoming Recordings" shows that MythTV will record "CSI: Miami" at 12p (the original schedule time). So MythTV does eventually know that the listings have changed (as it picks up the new program name and information), but it doesn't change the time of the "Upcoming Recording" to reflect the new program time.

I should also clarify that this recording schedule is configured as "Any time, Any channel".

I hope I have explained this issue effectively.

So my questions are multiple:

1) Once I saw that the program lineup had changed, is there a way to force mythfilldatabase to repopulate the entire lineup and not just get the few days that it downloads by default?

2) Once the lineup is corrected (either by forcing mythfilldatabase, or by the normal process), how do I get the recording scheduler to rescan for the proper times?

3) Is there anyway to automate this process?

After Monday, all of the listings are correct, so I know that this issue will resolve itself once the two week cache of listings has passed, but until that time, I have missed several episodes due to incorrect times.

Thanks,
