Hi,

I had a simple serial receiver working under R5D1. (/dev/ttyS0)

Can somebody tell me which option SHOULD work under

lirc-reconfig.sh for serial devices ?

I have copied over my old lircrc and lircd.conf files. But I cant run irrecord or get any responces to keypresses under lircd.

Thanks,

What I wasnt clear about was whether the IRBlaster support was directly applicable to the common serial receivers that are available with a lot of dvb-s cards.

I had a look through lirc-reconfigure script, and came to the conclusion that

Quote:
1. run lirc-reconfig.sh, choose the only serial remote listed (rca-6n1)

was as you say the only serial mode entry. Seemed odd that as the serial receiver is so popular ( or is it just me :-) ) thta thi swasnt more explicit .

I'll check the sticky again :-)
