I''d like to checkout KnoppMyth but don't want to giveup my XP system just yet. With plain old Knoppix I can boot from the CD, mess around with it for a little while and then go back to XP by removing the CD and rebooting. Can you do this with KnoppMyth as well?

Can the backend be installed on a partion without having to format? I was wondering if I could install it on one of my non-OS NTFS partitions. I don't mind having some files copied to my hard drive. But I don't want format or repartition any of my Windows partitions.

The CD does offer a CD boot option, but it is only for hte front end. Once you have a front end running, you can use the CD to boot to a front end.

There are several install option. You will need to research MANUAL INSTALL to avoid a reformat of the entire disk. Soem have achived dual-boot systems, but I'm sure you will need to do some research and many manual steps as knoppmyth is not really intended for that purpose.
