Is anyone else having trouble with the Burn DVD option in R5D1?
The MythBurn program stops with an error message that the .nuv file format that the TV recodings are stored in is not recognized.
I installed avidemux 2 which had no trouble recognizing the .nuv file and I was eventually able to produce a DVD after manually cutting out the commercials using avidemux.
This is a tedious exercise however and I would much prefer to be able to use MythBurn (i.e. the Burn DVD option within MythTV) and the cutlist to produce a DVD. I understand MythBurn did use avidemux in older versions but now uses a different program which I would assume to be the cause of the failure to recognize the .nuv file format.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Same problem... I did a automatic install of R5D1, didn't really have to tweak anything to get it working, just followed all the walkthroughs and things worked out fine. I finally felt brave enough to try to get my USB DVD burner working, and so of course I needed to test it out.
I can't even get that far in the program, though. When I try to make a DVD of any files using MythArchive (MythBurn?), I watch the progress and it dies, saying the file format .nuv isn't recognized. Kind of rude if you ask me.
I also tried using nuv2disc, but that isn't working for me, either. I can't seem to get a list of files. I update the list but it always ends up saying I have zero videos available. When I look at the program's output, though, it shows "Skipping: file name.nuv" for all the nuv files I have. No idea why.
Is there some standard tweak I'm supposed to apply? The only thing I've done is play a little bit with linking /dev/dvd with /dev/sr0 (which shouldn't have any effect) and I've added a v4lctl command to bootmisc (have an old bt878, and it wasn't quite working), but there's nothing else at all I've changed.

As I understand it. Mythburn was only for mpg files generated by the PVRx50s and DVB cards. MythArchive available in Myth 0.20 and KM R5E50 supposedly supports .nuv as well.

So is there no way to burn a DVD from nuv files within MythTV in R5D1? It seems like a lot of people stayed at R5C7, is that because that functionality was available in that version? Thus far R5E50 is just too slow for me to do anything with...
