Installed r4v3.

The new Video4linux drivers are a big help, as they recognise my Twinhan dvb card, and don't lock-up like the older bttv drivers in r4v2.

All I need now is the linux-dvb-1.1.1 drivers installed, and Mythtv recompiled pointing at those drivers, and I will have everything I want out of R5

cesman:

I am sure this is a reel dumb question, but how do I recompile the mythtv source you include. If I download the straight myth source it comes with a makefile, and the deb version comes with debian files, so i can use make or dpkg. What do I need to do with the src included with Knoppmyth. All I need is to change settings.pro to include DVB support and recompile.

Compile like you normally would following the directions in the MythTV HOWTO. Be sure to remove the debs first. I used checkinstall to make the debs. The included source is the same as the stock source you'd download from mythtv.org.

Thanks. A deb is a binary package.
