It should be under Optical Disks -> Archive Files in the GUI menus...

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/MythArchive

try going to Optical Disks>Archive..

Did you have one of those "Duh" moments?

Yeah, I thought so..

There is no Mytharchive Web Interface, its all done from your remote control..

ok, I checked "Optical Disks" ... nothing related to "archive" there.

That was on a clean install. Then I just did another clean install and still nothing. I have:

Optical Disks ->
Play DVD
Play VCD
Import DVD
Burn DVD
Import CD
MPEG4 CD
Eject Disk

Also, as root, I did

updatedb
locate archive

and didn't see any files obviously related to MythArchive.

I did do

tv testcd

when I installed, the cd tested ok.

What theme are you using? The "Burn DVD" option would be my guess, there should be 3 items under it.

As for the file system, you should have a /usr/share/mythtv/mytharchive directory, if you don't, something is wrong with your install.

BTW - what does cat /etc/KnoppMyth-version show?

alright, this is quite possibly the dumbest mistake i've made in several years. after checking

dpkg -l |grep myth

and seeing version 0.19 on everything, I realized I somehow downloaded and installed R5D1.

thanks for your quick responses and sorry for wasting your time.

Oh my! :o Thats Funny.. Glad its not just me for once.. Glad you caught it!

Give the blootube theme a chance when you get R5E50 up and running, it's pretty snazzy.

The Ether..
