I'm almost there.
I have a Sony HDTV 42"
My front end is a xPC Shuttle with a nvidia onboard 6100. I have an Audio Authority 9A60 VGA to Component converter for the TV. I have both the Backend and Frontend all set and moved the Frontend to the TV.

No matter what I do, I can't get the right xorg.conf to work with the TV. The standard xorg.conf file at lest gives me 8 screens all mucked up. If I try the tv sample xorg.conf file I get nothing visible.

Can someone please point me in the direction that shows how to setup the frontend to the TV that is HD w/ component output, I would be very very grateful.

I had this working once with the Fedroa setup but gave up for a while. I like KnoppMyth due to the ease of setup and install (on my 19" Viewsonic display). No all I have to do is plug it into the TV and I'm ready to go.

Have you searched the forum? Less I'm mistaken, modelines have been posted for the AA. You can also try avsforum.com.

I don't know anything about the AA - but I got the following modeline off of AVS about a year ago. Someone used powerstrip to get a per pixel map to make the modeline exact. Works great on my system:

Modeline "Sony42A10" 79.393 1224 1312 1440 1664 688 733 738 796 -hsync +vsync

As cecil mentioned, you can search AVS for more details or search the mythtv.org site - there is a posting on there with modelines for tons of TV's.
