I'm using a Hauppauge 350 to capture video - and DVDs created with Mytharchive and Knopmyth E50 are jittery or choppy, especially compared to those I made with mythburn under D1. Is there a step that could be introducing the choppines I can skip? Thanks Kevin |

I tried again with the "Don't re-encode" archive profile, and, believe it or not, the result was worse than with the default (SP). There was a lot of choppiness, and some pixelation. |

Same thing here....... i have a wintv pvr 150. i have JUST NOW enabled dma on my dvd burner to see if maybe that will help at all but i have not tested it yet. in case you can get to it before me the command i used was: hdparm -d1 /dev/dvd that helped VERY much with dvd playback which i did test but im not sure about how it will help with the burning. |

I don't think that's my issue as i'm just using Myth to make ISO files which I burn on a different machine that otherwise makes good DVDs. |

I will double-check - but the Hauppauge capture resolution hasn't changed from the past version which worked better, so I don't think that's the issue. Oh wait, I have an MPG here from Myth. It's 480x480: VIDEO: MPEG2 480x480 (aspect 2) 29.970 fps I should also point out that I've tried other DVDs since the earlier post in this thread, and some are okay, some are unwatchably jumpy. I've tried different recording sizes (SP/XP/no transcode) with no apparent correlation in result. Thanks |

I think I've seen this as well since moving to r5e50, but I've only burnt one or two discs. I have my res bumped up to 720 by 480 though. The one example that I ran into this with is a recording off of a movie channel, I'm not sure, but I think it was being broadcast at 24fps, rather than the 29.97 that NTSC generally uses. Should the mytharchive scripts detect this and account for it, or would the scripts assume 29.97 (I have it set to NTSC in the settings) and that's why things get wacky in the recode? I'm just shooting in the dark here, I could be way off base. |
