I have a combo Front/Backend box. It's configured with 127.0.0.1 as the database location. I want to setup an additional Frontend so I followed the instructions and changed the 127.0.0.1 to the server's real address. Now, the backend doesn't want to run and the frontend can't find the backend...

Here is the mythfilldatabase logs:

===============================================================
Attempting to contact the master backend for rescheduling.
If the master is not running, rescheduling will happen when
the master backend is restarted.

2007-01-08 16:08:16.449 Connection timed out.
You probably should modify the Master Server
settings in the setup program and set the
proper IP address.

If I try to run the local Frontend, it says the IP address is not correct for the backend (and it's not running).

I guess I'll just go back to 127.0.0.1 for now and hope things start working again....

Well I guess I might have asked for help too soon.

I tried resetting everything back to 127.0.0.1 and it still didn't work. I changed everything back to the "real" IP address and rebooted. The Front/backend server is running fine now on the "real" IP address.

Now I guess I can finish testing....
